Nowadays, fiber composites are used in a wide variety of applications
\nand, thanks to their lightweight construction potential, have become indispensable in many areas.
\nAs various types of waste are generated along the process chain and ultimately at the end of the use phase and the
\nproduction of reinforcing fibers usually requires a lot of energy, recycling of this material group
\nis essential. Due to the structure of a composite material, in which carbon or glass fibers are firmly anchored in a
\nplastic matrix (thermoset or thermoplastic), recycling the material
\nis significantly more complex than with unreinforced plastics; in particular, separating the two components
\nand sensible and efficient further processing of the recycled fibers or matrix base materials poses particular challenges
